Roads, parking lots, and railroad beds are attributed with surface type. Driveways, runways and taxiways, and walkways/sidewalks are attributed as either paved or unpaved. This data was captured for use in general mapping at a scale of 1:1200.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
This data was developed for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) under contract P-29-161 and Axis Geospatial project number 9030 in 2009. The mapping was updated by Kucera International project number 60146 in 2014. The mapping was updated by The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. project number 312017148 in 2017, and project number 312020360 in 2020.

This data was developed from April 2009 digital imagery using stereo compilation. The imagery was flown in color and at an altitude necessary to produce a 15 cm pixel resolution dataset. Planimetric and topographic data was collected using photogrammetric techniques and final coordinate values were captured in MD State Plane NAD83 Feet and NAVD88. This data was converted to GIS geodatabase format.
